China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited
TLA had been appointed by the main contractor, China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited for the for Main Works Contract of Batch 1A Development of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP), to provide installation and monitoring of wall deflection and strain gauge for MiC mock-up construction.
Wall deflectionDuring construction or installation of large structures (such as bridges, buildings, or offshore platforms), deflection monitoring ensures that the structure remains within acceptable limits. It helps engineers and contractors assess the behavior of assets during installation, ensuring safety and compliance with design specifications.
Strain gaugeA strain gauge is a sensor whose resistance varies with applied force; It converts force, pressure, tension, weight, etc., into a change in electrical resistance which can then be measured. When external forces are applied to a stationary object, stress and strain are the result. Stress is defined as the object’s internal resisting forces, and strain is defined as the displacement and deformation that occur.
